About Artist Trading Cards (ATCs)
Artists and crafters create playing card size cards (2.5” x 3.5”) specifically to trade with others. The fun is in both the creation and the trading and collecting. Swaps are everywhere. Rug hookers have also discovered card trading.
The appeal? They are small, quick to create, and they let your inner artist shine. Frivolous or serious, quick and easy or meticulous and detailed- your imagination is the only limit. And when you swap ATCs, you are getting limited edition works of art from other hookers around town or around the world.
What do you think? Have you heard about ATCs? Have you created miniature rugs or mats to trade, or do you know anyone who is trading? Has your guild or hooking group set up a swap, or are you participating in an on-line swap?
We’d love to hear from you – answer the poll question on our home page or send us an e-mail at rughook@stackpolebooks.com and put "ATC" in the subject line.
