Hooking Families

Collections of family photos are a treasure trove of memories and images—and a great resource for inspiring ideas for rugs that feature people.  By selecting and simplifying what’s important in a face and body, rug hookers can capture the essence of their family.

 

To celebrate my husband’s birthday, we invited immediate family and close friends. We took many photos and one in particular inspired me. It was a photo of me and three important women in my life: my sister, my sister-in-law and my best friend. We’re not often together, so when I saw this photo, I knew I had to capture the memory in a rug.
