Hooked Birdhouse

Give Your Feathered Friends a Woolen Domicile

By: Michele Wise
Hooked Birdhouse

I have a large mantel in my home that I love to decorate. l usually have a theme in mind, and this year the theme was birds. I recently installed an outside bird feeder, and while waiting to see if the birds would discover it, I decided to create an indoor setting where I can make my own birdhouses and birds. I am always looking for ways to use my leftover worms or noodles from rug hooking, and this was an opportunity to do both—use up some noodles and decorate my mantel. I made three houses using my leftovers, and birds to go with the houses.
