Here I am in black and white. Will you hook me in color?

Welcome Cow

Every day I visit Clover Nook Farm just up the street from my house. The cows come up to the fence and eat stale bread from the hand of my five-year-old daughter. The neighborliness of these visits inspired my Welcome Cow rug.

I have tried my hand at many crafts, from quilting to embroidery, cross-stitching to stenciling. Nothing fulfilled my creative urges until I took up hooking about ten years ago. I get great satisfaction from designing and hooking rugs.

Six years ago, when I was expecting our daughter, I decided to turn my creative energy into a business. I started by hooking seats for antique chairs, footstools, and benches. They were very well received at craft shows, and business prospered. Best of all, my new venture allowed me to stay at home to raise our daughter. I use a #3 hook for my rugs, and I always hook through monk’s cloth.
