Tell us a bit about yourself. What are some of your interests and hobbies?
Quilted for 20 years, upholstered furniture, needlepoint, sew clothing.
How did you get introduced to rug hooking?
Saw a group of ladies hooking at a street fair.
What was your first project?
A #6-cut cabin. That turned out horrible.
Is there one rug that stands out as being particularly memorable?
My favorite rug is always the one I'm working on now.
Is there a particular style of rugs that you're most interested in hooking?
Florals, and I enjoy David Galchutt patterns.
What's your favorite part about hooking a rug?
It keeps me thinking about colors and then I dye them.
What's a piece of advice you'd give to a new rug hooker?
Find teachers that are interested in the same things you are, and stick with them.
What do you love most about Celebration?
The interesting and beautiful pieces we see.
