"Diamond is the most difficult piece I have developed to date. I enjoy detail pieces, and this project was no different. Achieving effective realistic visuals in fiber on occasion require unconventional application. The goal to represent a clear cut diamond on a platinum band stretched my thinking from the planning phase to completion. When a hooked area looked spot on up close, it did not read correctly from a distance and vice versa. Finally, with changes in conventional thinking, the hooked area read as a clear cut diamond."
