Destinations: Hooked in the Heartland

Hooking in the Heartland is the slogan for the 2022 ATHA Biennial in the Kansas City area September 14–17, 2022, hosted by Region 8 (IL, KS, MO, NE, ND, SD). ATHA (Association of Traditional Hooking Artists) was started by a small group of 15 progressive rug hookers in 1979 and now has grown to over 4,000 active members. We have a tremendous legacy of talented rug hookers from the Heartland, so it’s a perfect spot to meet and attend the ATHA Biennial. After having to reschedule our dates due to the pandemic, we’re all eager to have an incredible reunion of our creative rug hooking teachers, vendors, and friends at Hooking in the Heartland!
