Hooking a friendship rug can take many forms. One model lets participating artists contribute to a work of art and keep the final product. This is the story of one such experience.

Hog’s Back Falls showcases the talents of Pat Caffery, Andrea Hammel, and Barbara Lukas and shows how rug hooking is evolving as an art form. The finished pieces not only contain wool fabric but also many other items. Furry and sparkly yarn, porcupine quills, mica, beads, metal mesh, embroidery floss, silk fibers, grasses, branches, pearls, wire, rhinestone pins, and tyvek envelopes found their way into the pieces.
