RED POINSETTIAS SAY CHRISTMAS!

By: JULIE THOMAS AND CAROL DECOTEAU OF THE OLD TATTERED FLAG

I always think of my mother-in-law when I see poinsettias. Not a year went by that we did not receive the pretty red blooms from her as Christmas approached. Over the years, the red poinsettia has come to have a place of honor in our home, whether front and center on the dining room table, tucked in a certain corner among other Christmas collectibles, or on each and every one of the wooden stairs going up to the second floor.
What a statement these blooms make! Traditionally red, we have come to love white and pink poinsettias, but the brilliant reds will always hold special meaning in our hearts.
We hope that our Christmas Flower will have a place of honor in your home this holiday season. The vibrant red popping from that flecked black background makes a statement, and this beautiful rug is sure to become an heirloom in your family.
