"While thumbing through Jody Bergsma's greeting card catalog, I was struck by the beauty of her Dream design. I loved the colors, theme, hummingbirds, and the magic of the image. With permission from Jody, I decided to hook it as a picture rug. I started this piece while at Caraway Rug School with Michele Micarelli as my teacher. This was the first rug where I thought 'outside the box' and used embellishments such as metallic ribbons for the girl's hair, a button for the hummingbird's eye, and crystal beads sewn on the tips of the wings. Adding embellishments made Dream magical and hangs on the wall of our guest bedroom. It was truly exciting to hook this beautiful and inspirational piece."
