"This rug is about my childhood visits to my mother’s childhood home, Oak Point, New Brunswick.

This is St. Paul’s Anglican Church where my ancestors were christened, married, and buried and where I went to Sunday School when I was on vacation.

I visited my Great Aunt Betty at her little house called Windy Nook. The bigger house is at Jones Creek where I visited my Aunt Eliza and my cousins.

Just like my mother, I took my children 'home' to Oak Point. My two sons, Douglas and Patrick, are exploring around the lighthouse, just like I used to do."
