"I used an oil painting that I had painted as my reference for this rug. I was interested in hooking a white horse using as many different colors of wool as I could. The most challenging part was hooking the nostril. I had hooked inside the outline, but the nostril was just too large. I took out several rows before I was finally satisfied with the size! What I liked most about hooking this was using my leftover worms to hook the muzzle, nostril, eyes, ears, light side of the face, and neck. The dark areas of the neck and background were hooked with recycled wool."
