"This rug was done at Maryland Shores Rug Camp with Nancy Blood. We had fun with the colors, and I’m so glad she dyed them because I wouldn’t have known if they were right until I got to camp. There was plenty of 'play off' with the values against the jade heather background. When we wanted it 'hot,' we used the lightest values on the outer edges of the leaves, and when we wanted to cool it down, we used the darker values on the outer edges. It all worked out to become quite a striking rug. It won a 1st place in the Maryland State Fair and now hangs at my best friend’s condo at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland, against a pale jade wall."
