"One of the biggest challenges when beginning a rug is the color plan. Priss Butler solved that problem for me when she gave me a multi-colored piece of wool that became my color plan. I used it throughout the rug and pulled colors from it for the rug.

I loved using gemstones throughout the piece. There are pearls, amethyst, crystal, and larimar. The gemstones are attached using beading wire and crimp beads.

The background is several dark wool colors that blended together well."
