Life Lessons

In A Few Succinct Words

Life Lessons

One of the unexpected consequences of the great pandemic of 2020 was the re-emergence of old skills (witness grocery store shelves stripped bare of yeast!).

Perhaps it was this phenomenon—in combination with thinking about all the hardships that parents and grandparents had endured—that brought to mind the wisdom imparted to us through homespun truisms. As the pandemic permeated our daily lives, I longed for humor and lightness wherever it could be found. And so it was that the series “Life Lessons” was created—well-worn adages imbedded in amusing, appealing images. The designs are in a 15" x 15" format, just right for a relatively quick project and a great size to be made into a pillow. Many of you are real pros at hooking faces. For the novice, however, this step-by-step guide will ensure success regardless of hooking experience or confidence. The guide uses the image found in Watched Pot; however, the suggestions on how to hook that face can be applied to any other.
