Middle Age Marvels

One of the most romanticized ages of history is that of the medieval period, which extended from the fifth to the fifteenth centuries, AD. Think of the monasteries, the Crusades, the building of great cathedrals and castles, princesses in towers, knights in shining armor, jousting, romantic love, and pilgrimages. These are the themes from which thousands of books, movies, and television dramas were drawn. I am no exception in thrilling to the supposed romance of that era.
