Paisley Troika

By: Julie Klinger

Designers Name: Julie Klinger
Year Completed: 2011
Height: 10
Width: 15
Materials Used: #8 cut on plaid background and some antique paisley, #7 and #6 on the designs. Some standing circles and felted balls included.
This lower portion of this footstool is a replica of one that was inherited from my husband's family.  I had never used a plaid for a background before and really liked it.  I chose 'troika' to be in the name because it means 'three of a kind' and it can refer to a folk dance.  I tried to capture that feeling of movement in the design.
