How A House Chose A Rug Hooker
In 1999, I had been hooking one year when my wife and I moved to southern California and bought a pre-Civil War modified Greek Revival cottage. Even though a house built in 1859 was a highly unusual property for a busy metropolitan area in the shadow of Disneyland, I knew the moment I walked in that this was the right fit for us. Once settled, I immediately gravitated to the perfect hooking spot: the archway between the dining room and the living room.
