You Only Live Once

With all the wonderful colors of wool and yarn available, not everyone is interested in dyeing their own. But there’s one dye method that’s so easy and so versatile, you’d be crazy not to give it a try. You guessed it: overdyeing.

Take this sample block. It’s hooked with some leftover wool strips in a variety of cuts from #4 to #8. No rhyme nor reason, just what was left over from other projects. Perfectly serviceable for a hit-or-miss rug of any size. But if all you ever do with your leftovers is hook them up in this way, don’t the rugs all look the same?
