"Seraph is a large geometric design rug developed with wide cuts in mind although any size cut may be utilized. The central area employs a combination of large motifs with rigid and fluid shapes as well as open areas. Each of the three borders focus on rigid or fluid shapes to complement the central design. The color plan is high contrast and complementary with supporting colors. The central motif sets the stage with the dominate color palette. The supporting motifs are more subtle yet enhanced with an outline beading detail. The center ground is a mix of warm and cool whites. The interior border is an exaggerated version of the whites examined as warm and cool then hooked alternating geometric areas. Border two is fluid and abstract in nature predominately carrying the supporting colors. The holding lines for the borders also feature beading. Framing the rug with the deepest values of the complementary plan tie closely to the central motif while further enhancing the overall high contrast visual. The wool used within each area incorporates a variety of values and colors to create depth and interest just as I would in a pictorial."
