Time to Celebrate!

Who doesn’t like a party or celebration? We celebrate for many different reasons—perhaps a birthday, an anniversary, a promotion, a special occasion. I designed a piece for Rug Hooking magazine’s 30th anniversary that clearly said “Celebration!” even without words. I love animals and that comes out in my designs. An elephant was the perfect motif, and elephants are very popular in design right now. This elephant wears a party hat and is spraying confetti out of its trunk—all over the floor (this is quite a party!) Of course, the confetti is multi-colored and sparkly. I love to combine pink with gray—I love the bright warmth of the pink contrasting with cool gray.
