"This was my third rug. It is a pattern by Jane McGown Flynn. I hooked it for my father who was a country boy. I started this rug at the ATHA Region 1 rug school in Madison, CT. It was my first rug school, and little did I know that in a few short years I would become the school’s director, a 15-year run. Charlotte Price was my teacher, and she dyed all the wool and took me through it step by step. My father was thrilled when I gave him the rug and hung it in a place of honor where he could show it to everyone who came into his home."
