"I wanted to make a rug that was not just about color and design but would bring out emotion. As our family sat around a campfire, cooking marshmallows, in Arcadia National Park, it came to me—combining the warmth of a campfire, the feeling of animals surrounding us in the woods on a moonlit night, and the love of a father and son. It took many tries to get the circular composition balanced and the value plan of an evening, but I totally enjoyed losing myself in the process."
