Tangled Threads Hooked Together

Two Artists Share a Passion and Scraps

By: Susan L. Feller
Sunset

Why do we hook rugs? Historical traditions, social interactions, self-sufficiency, love of fibers, gratification from working with our hands, creativity, exploring materials and techniques—these are of few of my reasons. Hooking leads to a closer understanding and deeper admiration for other artistic techniques—and in the best case, provides a resource for my own work.
