The Sound of One Hand Crafting

My Experiences After a Hand Surgery

By: Agnes Durda
The Sound of One Hand Crafting

In June 2021, I had hand surgery. I broke the middle finger of my left hand and it had to be set with wires. I am right-handed, so I thought I wasn’t going to have any problems, that my life would go on easily more or less as before. But after three days of one-handedness I can tell you: it was anything but easy. From this day forward, I will be more appreciative and will never again take the use of two hands for granted. My admiration for those who navigate this world and this world of crafting with one hand has increased tremendously.
