Silver Spring, Maryland, where Sarah Province and her husband have lived for 50 years, has a downtown plaza that features, among other things, a year-round farmers' market on Saturday mornings. "In 2011, on a sunny September morning, as we went down to shop, the sun reflected on the colors of the pumpkins, the apples and the tomatoes! It was a feast for the eyes! Luckily I had my camera with me."
The people were the most difficult part of the hooking. "I didn't want to give too much detail but just enough to show what they were doing. I like shading the clothing. Usually three shades of a color will work--light, medium, and dark." And the most tedious part was the details of the fruit and vegetables--"lots of apples and tomatoes!"
