A Quarantine Rug

What Do We Do When We Stay at Home? We Hook!

By: Story by Joyce Krueger
A Quarantine Rug

As we all know, during the COVID-19 pandemic most business were closed along with all the museums. But the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, had an idea for people at home: create a block for a Quarantine Quilt. www.wiquiltmuseum.com/

Not being a quilt maker, I thought we should make a rug. Eight members of the Cream City Rug Hooking Guild took the challenge and each of us made a 10" x 10" hooked piece. The pieces were sewn together to make this rug.
