Fraktur Angel

This jaunty angel embodies the cheerful spirit of Christmas. Our crosslegged angel came to life as a decorative motif on a Fraktur Taufschein, a birth certificate dated 1813. Fraktur was a popular folk art in Pennsylvania German communities during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
