Geometric Quilt

Materials: #4-, 6-, and 8-cut wool
Designed and hooked by Joyce Krueger, Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Featured in: A Celebration of Hand-Hooked Rugs (Celebration I)

"I started this rug to experiment with different quilt block designs but did not want to do several rugs.

The quilt blocks are hooked with a #4. The reversed quilting design with #8 and the border is filled with a #6. The reversed quilting design is hooked with the darkest value of the border.

This rug was designed before the age of finding designs on the web. I remember sitting at the kitchen table surrounded by every size of can I could find in the pantry, every ruler in the house, paper, tape, and scissors. Also, lots of eraser dust was created."
- Joyce Krueger, Celebration Hall of Fame 2019
