"I had a chance to teach William Morris pattern at the McGown Northern Teachers’ Workshop in 2005. It was a one-day teaching, so the assigned pattern was small. I love William Morris’s designs. So, I was eager to hook his large pattern. I met this pattern on catalogue, soon I decided to hook this. The color planning was challenging and interesting. I learned techniques of his using colors through many books with his designs. I didn’t want to make this with vivid colors, so I chose calm, gentle and quiet colors. I was so happy to get an honor with this."
